The Configuration of phpBB forums seems to be a lot more complicated than it used to be.
You would have thought it quite straightforward to be able to keep spammers out, but it could hardly be more obscure without having to do it from the Command Line.
I'm working my way through the options. The Forum will live again.
In the meantime, sorry about all this.

Okay, I've worked out how to do this.
Guests can no longer post. The setting is buried deep, but I've worked it out.
Shame really, because anonymous posting would have been quite useful for some, but there you go.
