Junior Tour of Wales  - Nr Abergavenney - 29-31/08

Sandy King competed in the Junior Tour of Wales, finishing in 12th place overall.

Held in 5 stages over the course of 3 days, Sandy also collected 8th place in the Points competition, and 12th in the K.O.M., so a fine all-round performance.

Stage 1 (ITT)  - 34th
Stage 2   - 6th
Stage 3  - 12th
Stage 4  - 34th
Stage 5 -  23rd

My preliminary calculations (subject to official results) indicate that Sandy has kept his 3rd place overall in the National Junior Series :-

1)    Joe Perrett    Glendene CC/Bike Trax Junior Team    223
2)    David Nichols    Glendene CC/Bike Trax Junior Team    203
3)    Alexander King    Twickenham CC    174
4)    Peter Dibben    Hargroves Cycles/Trant/Next/GSI    160

Great Riding Sandy !

Womems Team Series - Round 7 - Darley Moor  - 29/08/09

Once again, our Womens Squad took to the roads last weekend, to compete in the penultimate round of this year's Team Series. There is a little confusion over the final placings, which will hopefully be rectified to our benefit, but here's the situation as published :-

17. Alex Tyrer
40. Tina Reid
50. Wiesia Kuczaj
51. Lisa West

Sunday 20th September sees the final round of the competition, taking place up at Coalville (Leicestershire), with our team currently lying in 4th overall with a 140 point cushion over Impsport 'A', and 234 points clear of London Dynamo.

Well Done & Good Luck !

Hounslow & District CC '10 - Chertsey - 27/08/09

This years Hounslow & District CC Thursday Evening 10 Mile Time Trail series finished last week, with the following postings :-

Stuart Stow 26:47
Tina Reid 30:33
Lisa West 30:57

And Finally.......

Absolutely fantastic to see not one, but TWO of our riders profiled in "The Comic" this week !!
Interviews with newly-crowned National 24h TT Champ - John Warnock, and Natalie Creswick - whose had a storming first season of Road Racing (and ruffled a few feathers in the Women's scene this year) feature, but alas - with no mention of our fine CLUB........ a situation that Chairman Peck is persuing with the publishers.

Nonetheless - Well Done John & Natalie

STOP PRESS............Good Luck to Gavin Mitchell, Mat Myers, & Ben Nicholson who are all competing in the British Time Trial Championships this weekend.
