John Warnock claimed a superb 2nd place recording 56:37 behind Richard Prebble on Sunday in the opening round of this year's Rudy Project series held on the 24.2 mile QS/12 course.
"Not a great turnout I'm afraid but I'm pleased to get as close as I did to Richard Prebble which is progress for me, especially on the shorter events which really aren't my forte. It was definitely a "sporting course" with a whacking great hill in the middle of the lap which was no fun at all in 54/17. Still, the payback was 40mph on the downhill!"
Twickenham CC fielded 5 teams in this 'Sporting' 2-up time trial, with Coach Mac and Tom Sutherland recording our best performance. Tina Reid & Zoe Yelling, in their 1st ever TT (let alone riding 2-up) were rewarded with the prize for 1st Ladies Team, whilst Rob & Mark were unfortunate to ride 'off-piste'.
