Strictly Cycling 2012
Strictly Cycling is a programme of coaching sessions, grass track and cyclo-cross cycling competitions and participation events developed by Twickenham Cycling Club (TCC) in partnership with London Borough of Richmond (LBRuT).  The programme provides opportunities for young people to experience cycling sessions of all types and to take part in cycling competitions.

There are British Cycling sessions taking place at the Borough Secondary Schools with three sessions per school during school time in March, April and May with Coaches from TCC running after-school sessions.

Community & Club Grass Track sessions will take place in Kneller Gardens on Thursday evenings during May and June and there will be a ‘Go Ride Grass Track Race’ on Thursday 21st June which will be a competition especially for Under 16 riders.

In April/May the cycling trials will take place for the Richmond London Youth Games Cycling Team. Selected pupils from the school cycling clubs and those who performed well at the grass track competition will be invited to trials at Hillingdon Cycle Circuit in preparation for the main event on Saturday 30th June

In June Bike Fest provides opportunities for everyone to have a go at grass track racing and sprinting, to get a free bike safety check and some tips on bike maintenance from the Bike Doctor and to get information on all aspects of cycling including safe cycle routes and smarter travel.

During September schools sessions start again following a similar pattern to the spring but with a focus on urban and cyclo-cross skills. There will be opportunities for riders to take part in Community and Club Cyclo-Cross sessions which will run from October to December.
